What is medical detox?

Detoxification will be your first step of treatment once you enter our facility. Through this process, your body will slowly adjust to the absence of alcohol and drugs to physically prepare you for further rehabilitation.
However, medical detox for alcohol and drugs will trigger unpleasant withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Without proper medical intervention, you’ll likely relapse or experience life-threatening situations.
This is where LA Wellness Home can help. Our team of medical professionals will provide you with 24/7 personalized care and detox medications to help manage withdrawal symptoms safely.
As an inpatient program, you’ll stay in our luxurious facility throughout your detox process. This is to distance yourself from the environment that led to your addiction. It also guarantees that you’ll receive medical attention immediately once you need it.

Substances Usage we treat at our medical detox center
Due to its legal status, alcohol is easy to acquire and abuse. It can lead to health complications without proper intervention. But with our alcohol medical detox, we will help you cleanse your body from the substance and break the cycle of dependence.
Cocaine has a high potential for abuse, which can easily lead to severe physical or psychological dependence. Our medical drug detox will help you get rid of this substance and prevent its life-threatening consequences.
Heroin addiction can cause major health problems, including heart infections, hepatitis, kidney disease, liver disease, and more. This is why a medical detox is a crucial step to prevent such risks and break the cycle of addiction.
Some of the common kinds of opiates include opium, morphine, and codeine. While these are legitimate medications, they can be misused for the euphoria and feel-good sensations they bring. Our medical detox from opiates can help cleanse your body with this substance to start addiction recovery.

Fentanyl is more powerful and addictive than morphine. Also, it’s often used simultaneously with other substances such as cocaine and heroin. Due to its strong effects, fentanyl abuse will require proper detox medication to manage intense withdrawal symptoms.
Marijuana is legal for recreational use in 23 US states. Due to this accessibility, some individuals tend to develop marijuana use disorder. With the help of our treatment and drug detox medication, you can overcome this addiction.
Methamphetamine or meth is an incredibly addictive drug that can alter brain activity by overproducing dopamine. Over time, it will lead to dependence and a slew of health problems. If you or a loved one needs help with this substance use disorder, our medical detox program is the right choice.
